After much ado, and very frantic last few days in South Africa, I finally made it to Gaborone, Botswana. I’m taking it all on, but once again in a rush as I am off to Maun in Northern Botswana tomorrow morning.
It is hot and windy here but very picturesque as well! Very much like the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, though with quite a few more modern shopping centers and malls. Gaborone is one of the fastest growing cities in Africa with interesting mix of old and new. I am excited to explore the town on my own today and see where the roads lead me. As I’m now officially working from Internet cafes, the posts will be shorter with even fewer photos, but you will just have to trust me when I see that even in the worst of poverty, the undeniable and breathaking beauty of the continent of Africa and its people can be seen.
